This air fryer chicken leg quarters recipe with no breading is all you need for a quick midweek dinner. It’s easy, quick and delicious. Cooking chicken legs in the air fryer ensures I have juicy chicken in less time than any other method of cooking.
Wash and clean chicken leg quarters by trimming off excess fat and skin. Pat chicken dry with paper towel, put in a ziplock bag and set aside.
Mix the spice blend, pour oil into the ziplock bag and massage the chicken to distribute the oil. Then pour in the spice blend (dry rub) into the bag and massage it’s well distributed all over chicken legs.
Let it rest for 30 mins on the countertop or in the refrigerator. If you are in a pinch with time, leave it for 10 mins before cooking.
When you are ready to cook, spray the air fryer basket lightly with oil. Place chicken in air fryer basket and air fry at 400°F / 200° for 25 to 30 mins or until internal temperature reaches a minimum of 165°F / 74°C
Let chicken rest for 5 mins before serving.
Notes
Let the chicken rest after seasoning. It improves the flavor
Flip chicken at 10 min intervals to ensure even cooking. You would flip chicken 3 times
Cook chicken leg quarters slightly beyond the recommended 165°F / 74°C for best results.
