Learn how to make whole baked potatoes in your air fryer in minutes. These Air fryer baked potatoes are our new dinner obsession because they’re super easy to make requires a few pantry staples. In the air fryer you get delicious fluffy potatoes with incredibly crispy skin.
2 large russet potatoes (Washed and dried with paper towel)
1teaspoonoil
½teaspoonsalt
Baked potato Toppings
2Tablespoonsbutter
Salt and pepper to taste
scallions
Instructions
Air fryer
Poke holes with a fork in up to 8 placed around the potatoes.
Brush with the whole potatoes with oil then sprinkle with some salt.
Place potatoes in the air fryer basket or tray. Set temperature to 400°F / 200°C and bake for 20 mins, flip potatoes with a pair of kitchen tongs then bake for additional 15 to 20 mins or until the potatoes are fork tender.
Precooking in the microwave method
Poke holes in the potatoes then place the potatoes in the microwave on a microwave safe plate.
Microwave on high for 5 to 6 minutes for the two potatoes. Get the potatoes out of the microwave.
When the potatoes are ready, brush some oil on the potatoes, sprinkle on some salt then transfer to the air fryer basket and air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10 to 12 mins or until the skin is crispy to your liking.
To serve
Transfer potatoes to a plate.
Make a slit on the top, open up add butter and sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or scallions (please refer to blog post for more topping ideas)
