4th of July is around the corner and nothing spreads the joy of the celebration as much as a patriotic dessert like this air fryer red, white and blue cheesecake. If you haven’t made cheesecake in the air fryer before, trust me when I say it’s way easier than baking it in the oven.
1 Packet Graham crackers(about 1 cup of Graham crackers crumbs)
¼CupButter
16OzCream cheese
8OzSour cream
2Large Eggs
14OzSweetened condensed milk
½Tablespoon Vanilla extract
Red and blue Food coloring
Instructions
Prepare the springform pan
Line the bottom and sides of your springform pan with parchment paper.
Prepare the crust
Pulse the Graham crackers in a food processor till it’s all crusted and smooth. Mix it with melted butter and till well combined.
Pour the buttered crumbs into the parchment pan, press it down with a cup till it’s all smoothened and the base covered.
Mix the filling
Beat the cream cheese till smooth, add the sour cream and continue mixing till the mixture is smooth. Add one egg at a time and mix. Finally add the vanilla extract and condensed milk. Mix till well combined
If making in layers
Divide the batter into 3 equal parts, color one red and the second one blue. Leave the third as is.
Spoon in the blue barter then the white and finally the red.
Transfer into the air fryer basket and bake at 300°F for 20 to 22 mins. The top should still be slightly jiggly when it’s ready.
If making a marbled cheesecake
Divide the batter into two equal parts, then divide one half 2. Color the two smaller barter one red and the other blue. The white portion should be bigger.
Next spoon in the different colored barters randomly. When all the batter is used up, use a skewer or knife and make a swirl movement to lightly mix the colors then bake
When the cake is done, let it sit in the air fryer for a minute or two before placing it on a cooling rack to cool completely. Refrigerate for up 6 hrs or overnight before serving.
Notes
All ingredients should be at room temperature.
Do not preheat the air fryer. If you used to do so for other recipes do not preheat the air fryer for this red, white and blue cheesecake or any cheesecake recipe.
If your air fryer preheats automatically, put cake in the air air fryer and let it start baking while it preheats.
Use no taste food colors so your cheesecake doesn’t have a bitter aftertaste.
Mix the cream cheese well before adding the other ingredients and mix well after each addition. Don’t forget to scrape down the sides as you mix Please refer to blog post for more tips
