The first time I saw this dessert in a Facebook group, I was like are you kidding me? Oreos and bacon? There’s no way I’m making this. But it got stuck in my head. Then I googled it and found that smoked bacon wrapped Oreos were actually a thing. I still wasn’t convinced.
But as I continued to make lots of bacon wrapped foods in my air fryer I kept thinking about it. Then today I gave in (too easily if you ask me) when my second suggested it.
You see, my kids love Oreos and they love Bacon so they convinced me to try it out for the blog. Plus y’all seem to love all my bacon wrapped recipes so why not.

I don’t recommend making these ahead or storing leftovers. This recipe is easy to scale up or down so you can make the exact amount you need each time.
Air frying Tips
- To get a clean cut when cutting the bacon, cut it cold. If it’s at room temp, you can pop it into the freezer for a minute or two. Because of its fat content, it’s easier to cut cold bacon.
- The cookies will be slightly soft in the middle but not mushy. It kinda blends into the Oreo filling.
- Don’t wrap the cookie too tightly or it will crush the cookie as it bakes.
- Use thin cut bacon.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use double stuffed Oreos for this recipe?
Yes you can. However, I like to use regular Oreos. There’s no need for the extra sugar that comes with double stuffed (though the kids don’t agree with me on this) and honestly it may not make much of a difference.
Does the cookie get soggy from the bacon grease?
The cookie will be softer in the middle where the bacon is but it won’t be soggy and the edges stay crisp and crunchy.
Can I use thick cut bacon?
I won’t recommend thick cut bacon to make this bacon wrapped Oreo recipe. Thick cut bacon will take way too long to cook and crisp up.
Will Turkey bacon work in this recipe?
I’d be honest, I haven’t tried it with Turkey bacon but I see no reason why it won’t work.
