Yes you can. Use your favorite cinnamon roll recipe to make these.
For the mini Christmas tree cinnamon rolls, you should flip it half way through. I didn’t flip the pull apart Christmas tree cinnamon rolls. After the cook time is up, let it sit in the air fryer for a couple of minutes before lifting it out with a pancake spatula.
The mini trees cooked for 8 mins at 350°F (180°C) while the big one cooked for 9 mins at the same temperature.
What to serve with cinnamon rolls
Cinnamon rolls make the perfect sweet breakfast or brunch treat. Here are some delicious ideas for things to serve alongside them.
Fresh fruit like berries or melon pair nicely with the sweetness. The fruit cuts the richness.
Orange, apple, or other fruit juices make a nice lighter pairing beverage.
Breakfast meats like Bacon, breakfast sausage and ham.
Eggs: Omelette or scrambled eggs.
How to reheat cinnamon rolls
These usually finish same minute they are ready. If you’d like to warm it up a little, pop it back in the air fryer for 2 to 3 mins at 330°F
Recipe Tips
- Do not preheat the air fryer.
- You can use cocktail sticks to hold the mini tree together (I didn’t need it). However remember to remove them before frosting and serving.
- Let the cinnamon rolls cool slightly before frosting so that it doesn’t melt with the sprinkles sliding off.
- Add the decorations as soon as soon as you spread the icing on the cinnamon rolls so that it sticks better. If you wait too long the icing will have a coating making it more difficult for the decorations to stick.
