How long to cook pork chops in the air fryer
The cooking time for air fryer pork chops can vary based on the thickness of the pork chops and the model of air fryer you're using. Pork chops typically get cooked without preheating my air fryer at 400°F for 12 to 14 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time.
However, to ensure that your pork chops are cooked to a safe internal temperature, it's important to use a meat thermometer to check the temperature. Pork chops should be cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F.
If your pork chops are thicker than 1 to 1 ½ inches you may need to cook them for a few minutes longer and it's important to keep an eye on them as they cook and adjust cooking time as needed.

Pat pork chops dry then add oil, season with the seasoning blend in this recipe or your preferred blend of spices.

Place seasoned pork chops in the air fryer in a single layer and cook at 400°F (200°C) for 12 to 14 mins. 10 to 12 mins for thinner pork chops.

The internal temperature should reach 145°F to be considered fully cooked and safe to eat.
Let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving.

Wondering how to serve? Here are some sides for pork chops
- Roasted vegetables, such as asparagus, broccoli, or Brussels sprouts.
- Mashed potatoes or cauliflower mash.
- A salad with a tangy vinaigrette dressing.
- Steamed rice or quinoa.
- Sauteed apples or pears for a sweet and savory combination.

How to store and reheat
Store leftover pork chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
To reheat, place the pork chops in the air fryer and cook at 375°F for 3-4 minutes, or until heated through.
Alternatively, you can reheat the pork chops in the microwave for 1-2 minutes on high.

Air frying Tips
- No need to preheat your air fryer.
- For best results, choose pork chops that are between ½ to 1 inch thick. Thicker pork chops will take longer to cook and may not cook evenly.
- Since there is no breading on the pork chops, it's important to season them generously with your favorite spices and herbs.
- Make sure to cook the pork chops in a single layer and leave some space between them. Overcrowding the air fryer can result in uneven cooking and a less crispy exterior.
- Don’t forget to flip the pork chops half way through cooking time to ensure both side cook evenly.
- Let the meat rest for a few minutes after cooking to redistribute the juices.

Hey Lisa!
Happy you enjoyed this recipe. Thsnk you for letting me know 😊❤️
I have used this recipe both in basket style air fryers, and now in my new Ninja Foodi XL Pro Air Oven - great recipe - I use less salt than the recipe calls for. Takes 18 to 20 minutes in the Foodi. Delicious recipe that is crispy on the outside and moist and flavorfull on the inside.
Hi Rita,
Thank you so much for taking out time to leave your feedback and also sharing about using both types of air fryers. That is very helpful. Happy you enjoyed the recipe and that you make it often. Enjoy 😊

Would omit salt from seasoning. Start with 5 minutes a side and then check temperature.
The recipe sounds great !!! I’ve not used my air fryer yet and am anxious to, but I’m nervous. Do you use paper basket liners? Any food to not use them on? Thank you
Hey Nancy!
Thank you so much! It tastes so good! If I may say so myself. Yes you can use perforated parchment paper liners in your air fryer with caution. You should NEVER use the air fryer liner during preheat mode. Food always has to be in it to weight it down and prevent it from flying around in the air fryer and getting stuck in the fan.
Read this detailed post on how to use parchment paper safely in the air fryer.
Hope this helps. The best way to master your air fryer is to use it frequently! Enjoy

Can I season my pork chops and then spray with olive oil cooking spray?
Hi Felicia,
Yes you can.
This was a fantastic recipe. I’m still having a few meats that cause me problems in my air fryer. It seems they are either raw or overcooked. However this recipe was perfect. My pork chops were tender and juicy (used loin chops) . The flavor was wonderful . And I will use this recipe again. I served them with sauted asparagus, mushrooms and onions with a baked potato. Thank u for sharing this recipe.

my air fryer doesn't have a bSket it has 3 mesh screens. can I still try this recipe?
Hi Denise!
Yes you can cook this in your oven style air fryer. The only thing is that you will need to keep an eye on it as timing will differ. If yours comes with automatic preheat then it will likely cook at the same time as this recipe. Use a meat thermometer to confirm. If it doesn’t have automatic preheat and you cook without preheating like I often do with my basket style air fryer you will need to cook for a couple more minutes. Remember to turn the pork chops half way through. And to cook the pork in the middle rack. Hope this helps.
Yum!! This air fryer pork chops recipe is super delicious!! And it was really easy to make!!
Fast, easy, and kid-friendly! Just what I love in a recipe. 🙂
