Meat of skewers are a family favorite. When we are not making sausage kabobs in the air fryer, you’ll find that we probably just made air fryer meatball skewers, Chinese chicken on a stick or air fryer chicken or steak kebabs.
We love that it requires a few ingredients and a few minutes too. Honestly, air fryer kielbasa sausage and peppers never tasted so good. This is also seriously one of the easiest recipes you can cook in your air fryer and really should be on your top 10 things to cook in an air fryer list.

How long to cook sausage kebabs
Sausage kabobs made with fully cooked sausages usually take about 10-12 minutes to cook in the air fryer at 400°F(200°C). If using raw sausages, expect to cook for 12 to 15 mins. The timing also depends on the size of sausage pieces.
Make sure to turn the kabobs halfway through to ensure that they cook evenly on all sides. The internal temperature of the sausage should reach 160°F to ensure that it's fully cooked.

How to make it

Cut the sausage into bit size chunks and the onions and peppers into 2 inch pieces. Toss only the veggies in oil and seasoning.

Air fryer sausage kabobs
Equipment
- Air fryer
- 8 inch wooden skewers
Ingredients
- 1 Ib Smoked sausage (I used Kielbasa)
- 1 Medium Red bell pepper
- 1 Medium Green bell pepper
- 1 Medium Yellow bell pepper
- 1 medium red onion (you could also use yellow or white)
- 1 Tablespoon oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ Teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Cut sausage into 1 ½ inch slices. Set aside
- Transfer the chopped vegetables (bell peppers and onions) into a bowl add oil, the season with salt, garlic powder, Italian seasoning and black pepper. Toss to combine.
- Thread the sausage slices and veggies on the wooden skewers alternating between the sausages and a combination of peppers and onions.
- When all the wooden skewers have been filled with sausage and peppers, place sausage skewers in the air fryer basket and air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10 to 12 mins. Flipping halfway through.
- Feel free to add more time as needed especially if you want the sausage exterior really crispy.
