Perdue is one of our favorite brands of frozen chicken. Making their frozen popcorn bites in the air fryer is a game changer. You get perfectly crispy breaded mini air fryer frozen chicken nuggets with juicy meat in less time than you need to preheat the oven.
Air fryer frozen popcorn chicken bites are perfect as an after school snack, lunch or dinner depending on how you serve it. This is a family favorite and is always a hit with kids and adults alike.
Fun fact! These can serve for breakfast. Chicken bites and potatoes are so good!

It takes 8 to 10 mins to cook Perdue popcorn chicken bites in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C). No preheat needed.

Open the packaging and transfer breaded chicken cubes to the air fryer basket.
Air fry at 400°F (200°) for 8 to 10 mins or until heated through. Enjoy with your favorite dip or side dish.
Serving suggestions
Perdue chicken Breast popcorn bites can be enjoyed on its own with a variety of dipping sauces such as bbq sauce, spicy mayo, Dijonnaise, ketchup, fry sauce and lots more.
The size also makes it possible to enjoy it as a topping for salads. These can be served with, air fryer baby potatoes, French fries, air fryer parmentier potatoes, air fryer home fries and lots more.
How to store and reheat
For store bought frozen foods, my recommendations always to cook the quantity you need so as to avoid leftovers. However sometimes leftovers occur so let it cool completely before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
To reheat, air fry at 350°F for 3 to 4 minutes or until heated through. You can also reheat in the microwave at 20 sec intervals for up to a minute or until heated through. Note that the texture won’t be the same with the air fryer. It won’t be crispy.
Air frying Tips
- No need to preheat the air fryer
- Do not overcrowd the basket. Cook in batches if needed.
- Cook from frozen, no need to thaw.
- Shake the basket halfway through.

Yes you can. However raw frozen chicken bites will take longer to cook about 3 to 5 mins more depending on the size of the chunks.
Use a meat thermometer to check that it reaches 165°F (74°C) to ensure that it’s fully cooked.
Healthy is a relative word to a large extent and frozen foods don’t usually fall into that category. However Perdue chicken is one of good brands out there.
Everything should be eaten in moderation and enjoying these air frozen chicken bites with healthier sides like air fryer beets or salads can make for an overall healthier balanced meal.

- Transfer to air fryer basket or tray but do not overcrowd the basket.
- Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8 to 10 mins or until heated through and crispy to your liking. Shake basket halfway through cooking time to ensure even cooking.
