How long to air fry bacon wrapped corn on the cob

It will take 16 to 18 mins to cook bacon wrapped corn on the cob at 400°F / 200°C in a non preheated air fryer. If you cook at a lower temperature say 380°F, expect to cook these for longer and if you preheat the air fryer, these are likely to cook a couple of minutes faster.

You can add more time as needed to crisp the bacon up some more.

Wrapping the bacon around the corn.

Ensure the corn is dry when attempting to wrap the bacon around it. If it’s wet from washing or condensation wipe with paper towels.

There are two ways to wrap corn on the cob with bacon. It would depend on if you want every bite of corn with bacon or if you just want a bit of bacon.

Team bacon in every bite: for this you will need to wrap one cob of corn with 2 slices of bacon or cut cob into 2 and wrap each half with a rasher of bacon.

Team a bit of bacon here and there: For this, you can wrap a whole cob with one bacon.

How to make air fryer bacon wrapped corn on the cob

Now to the fun part! Making ‘grilled’ corn wrapped in bacon indoors in our air fryer.

Cut the corn into halves. Wrap each half with bacon you can use a tooth pick to secure the bacon or place seam side down in the air fryer.

Set temperature to 400°F / 200°C till corn is fully cooked and the bacon is crispy. Takes any where from 16 to 18 mins.

What to serve with corn on the cob wrapped in bacon

Bacon wrapped corn on the cob can be served with salads, fries, air fryer baked sweet potatoes, Cottage fries, air fryer frozen chicken wings, potato slices, air fryer boneless chicken thighs and lots more.

    How to store and reheat

Since Air fryer bacon wrapped corn on the cob is best eaten immediately I recommend cooking the quantity needed. However if you find that you have leftovers, store in an air tight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

To keep the bacon crispy, the best method of reheating would be the air fryer. Reheat at 400°F / 200°C for 3 to 4 mins or until warmed through.

    Tips

    • I don’t recommend using thick cut bacon for bacon wrapped corn on the cob but if you do, you’ll need to cook for longer.
    • Fresh corn is recommended for this recipe to get the joy of biting into juicy sweet corn.
    • You can wrap the bacon on a full ear of corn. However cutting each ear of corn makes it easier for me to manage.
    • The corn should be fully cooked at about 15 mins. If the bacon hasn’t crisped up to your liking cook for another 2- 3 minutes.
    • You can use toothpicks to secure the bacon or place seam side down when cooking. If you do use toothpicks, remember to take them out before serving.

    FAQS

Should I soak corn on the cob before air frying?

When grilling corn on the cob in the husks, it’s advised to soak the corn to keep the corn husks from catching fire. When making shocked corn on the cob in the air fryer, it isn’t necessary to soak it.

How many bacon rashers per corn

Depending on the size or length of the corn and how close you wrap the bacon, you will need one or 2 rashers. If you cut the corn in galf, you could use one bacon per half.

Can I use frozen corn on the cob?

Though I highly recommend fresh corn for this recipe, frozen corn on the cob can be used as well. To use frozen corn we need to thaw completely and pat it fry before wrapping with bacon.
